Brent Edgerton spent over a decade in sales and sales management selling textile commodities and services throughout North America. His experience in selling in a challenging and declining textile market promoted an emphasis on customer service and a client first mentality as a means to differentiate himself and his employers from global competition.

Brent co-founded New Way Properties, Inc. in December 2004 as its President and Broker-In-Charge. The concept for the firm was one born in the late 90's out of his frustration with the current landscape of Real Estate Sales and Marketing. As a real estate developer and investor, Brent became disillusioned with the lack of professionalism and overall expertise shown to him, his partners, and investors and decided that there had to be a better way. That way is to treat every transaction with the utmost care and diligence as if the property being bought or sold was owned by the agent themselves - whether it be a $60,000 first home or a multi-million dollar development. Our goal is for every New Way associate to have complete buy-in to this principle, and therefore, the firm structures its recruiting and training practices around it...it is prevalent in all that we do.

Brent holds a BA, Business Economics, from Wofford College (1992) and an MBA from Wake Forest University (2002). He is also a graduate of Leadership Greenville, Class 33.

Bruce was born in Seoul, Korea and grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

For 8 years, he was employed as a General Manager for a local automotive dealership. He has worked in real estate since 2002 in mortgage as well as residential/commercial real estate. In 2004, Bruce began volunteering with the Korean Association of Upstate, SC. He was appointed as Treasurer for this association. Bruce has lived in the Greenville area for 15 years. He is married to Jane and they have been married for 11years. They have two daughters, ages 9 and 8. Bruce shares that he has a passion for quality family life and the game of golf! Member of Brookwood Church since 2000.

Angela Carson, originally from East Tennessee, attended Tennessee Tech University where she received her B.S. in History, then Emory University School of Law, where she obtained her law degree. After practicing law in private practice, she taught Real Property classes as well as Contracts, Torts, and Legal Writing in a paralegal program. She is married to Phil Carson, an engineer with AMEC, whose job brought them to the Greenville area. Angela has three children, ages 16, 12 and 5. She enjoys singing in the choir at Edwards Road Baptist Church, going out with friends, gardening and spending time with her family. She volunteers with her church, at Miracle Hill Boys' Shelter, at her children's schools, in her neighborhood, and with Greyhound Crossroads, a local greyhound rescue group.

Becky Daunay was born in South Florida where she started her real estate career. Now here in Greenville she brings many years of experience in the business. She enjoys negotiating and working with people helping them reach their goals of buying their dream home and specializes in getting the best price for the sale of their home. David is a native of Greenville. David previously worked in industrial automation systems, design, programming, installation, training and sales for 20+ years.

David bought some distressed properties, renovated and sold them. He decided to become a Realtor because he enjoyed the work as well as interacting with a variety of different people and prefers having a non-traditional work schedule. David will apply his background in problem solving and his knowledge of the area to help you with your real estate needs. David chose to work with New Way Properties because of the unique and flexible approach that the company promotes in assisting clients to meet their real estate needs. He has 3+ years experience in real estate investing and sales. Currently David specializes in residential transactions but plans on learning more about the commercial side of real estate.

Native to the Upstate, Dena was born and raised in Powdersville, SC. After graduating from Wren High School, she attended Charleston Southern University (CSU) where she earned a Bachelors in Business Administration. While at CSU she was active in Campus Outreach and also served as a Campus Ambassador for CSU, recruiting students to the University. During this time she also discovered her true love for helping people while doing missions work in S. Africa, Argentina, FL, NY and here in SC.

Since graduating from CSU, Dena has gained experience in marketing and sales in the corporate world. Dena chose to go into Real Estate because she realized it was the best fit for her skill set, personality, love of the Upstate and desire to help others. Jennifer has spent her real estate career in Greenville and Charleston working with families to turn their dream homes into a reality. Joyce was raised in southeastern Colorado on a 3,000 acre ranch and attended college in the Rocky Mountains in Alamosa, CO. She has a very large family in Colorado who support and encourage her. Joyce moved to Michigan for a career opportunity in the Information Technology field and eventually became involved with real estate. She worked for a wonderful builder in Grand Rapids, MI who taught her the ropes. 8 years ago she moved to Greenville and made it her home and has always loved it since. When buying or selling real estate, probably the biggest concern a client can have is "can I trust my agent". Joyce's response "Your interests will always come before mine. I will not hesitate to pull someone out of a real estate transaction if it is not clearly in their best interest". It is extremely stressful selling and buying a home, Joyce will work hard to make the transaction go as smooth as possible. Joyce's real estate career started over 12 years ago when building a personal home in Grand Rapids, MI. After careful consideration, Joyce began her real estate career and has never looked back. Kim moved to Greenville in 1991 and immediately fell in love with the area! As she says, “the beauty of the city and close proximity to the beach and mountains make Greenville a very special place to live.” She particularly enjoys working with people moving in from out of state so that she can share with them her enthusiasm for the city.

Kim is a graduate of Louisiana State University and worked for 8 years in the airline industry. She was involved in the buying, renovating, and selling of older homes before entering general real estate in 2002. Since that time, she has the combined experience of representing builders of new construction, as well as individual buyers and sellers.

Her commitment to the community is evidenced in her numerous activities. She has previously served on various boards, including the PTF and Booster Club at Shannon Forest Christian School, Forrester Woods Recreation Association and Foothills Tennis Association. She current serves with the women’s and music ministries of her church and enjoys various sports activities and traveling.

Li arrived in the Greenville area 13 years ago to join the Greenville Symphony and was, in fact a member of the Orchestra for seven years. She has been a real estate professional for eight years, and along with her cultural talents is, perhaps, the only fluent Chinese-speaking Realtor in Upstate SC. She has balanced experience in residential new construction sales as well as re-sales and remains active in the Greenville Chinese community.

Mary Jo Ann grew up in Cleveland, MS, the heart of the MS Delta. She attended Delta State University where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing.

Due to Mary Jo Ann’s love of people she dedicated herself to sales. After 6 years in outside sales she decided to follow her passion for Real Estate. Ray Shannon graduated from college in 1997. He made Greenville his home and is focused on the development that is going on in and around Greenville. He has been active in community service and development. Ray served in numerous positions in his fraternity, Omega Psi Phi, as well as political organizations and Habitat for Humanity.
